Remember, It's About Having Fun!
Most importantly, we want to emphasise that the Junior Summer Sevens is all about having fun. While we value competitiveness, we also value sportsmanship and enjoyment for all participants. Let's create a positive and supportive environment where our young athletes can learn, grow, and, most importantly, enjoy the beautiful game of soccer.

Competition Rules
1. The field measures 50 meters in length and 30 meters in width.
2. Teams consist of 7 players on the field at a time, with a minimum of 5 players required to avoid forfeiting the match.
3.  Matches are divided into two halves, each lasting 20 minutes, with a 5-minute break in between.
4. There is a rolling substitution system, allowing players to enter and exit the field without stopping the game.
5. There is no offside rule in this format of the game.
6. Players must wear shin pads for safety and provide their own colour shirt matching their team's colour.
7. Common fouls such as tripping, pushing, and handball result in free kicks or penalties. Offensive language is not allowed. Yellow and red cards may be used to discipline players for misconduct.
8. There are no penalty shootouts to determine the winner in the event of a draw.
9.  The competition relies on volunteers to serve as referees, and there may be instances where parents or junior players act as referees. It's important to treat these referees with respect and patience, as they may be learning the role and might make mistakes.
10. Wet Weather: In the event of wet weather, matches will proceed in light rain, but they may be called off if the playing surface is at risk due to heavy rain.
11.Lightning: In case of lightning, play must be immediately suspended, and all participants should seek shelter; a minimum 30-minute waiting period is required after the last observed lightning strike or thunder before play can resume, and if games do not commence afterward, match results will be determined by the score at the time the match was stopped.
