With some very warm conditions EGUFC Womens hosted Newborough Yallourn United.
The game started with some fast pace play with the Eagles putting pressure on the Newborough defence from the whistle, this paid off with two corners within the first three minutes.
Holly McCullagh stepped up to take her role as corner kicker, although the first lacked flight and was cleared back out her next effort was a beautifully weighted cross that found the head of Jenna Coppa who effortlessly put it past the keeper making the score one nil four minutes in.
Up to the tenth minute mark the ball was held firmly in the Newborough half with some dominant mid field play by Sally Baldwin and Kaitlyn Taylor and after another couple of corner taken by Holly the score was doubled in the same way with Jenna scoring her second.
Greater positional play by the eagles kept them on the front foot and searching for more goals had few more chances with some lovely through balls from Sam Davies to Abby Matthews and Deb Grassby who came one on
