BLUE EAGLES EDGE THEIR WAY INTO GRAND FINAL
The Semi Final matchup between the 2 local U14 teams certainly delivered all that was expected and some more. Extra time was required to establish a winner and it was the Blue Eagles that will advance to the Grand Final.
With the 2 teams playing out a draw only a fortnight earlier, both went into this match with a realistic belief that they could triumph. The older Blue team had occupied the higher position on the ladder for most of the season but had had a very interrupted lead up to the finals. The younger Gold team had shown a steady improvement throughout the year and had certainly looked the more accomplished team in the previous encounter.
