It was a warm Saturday afternoon that greeted players at West Bairnsdale Oval as the Eagles took on Newborough Yallourn United Football Club with the game ending in a three all draw.
With a number of the regular players unavailable due to the Saturday game, Jarrah Feather and David Tarling lined up for the Reserves.
Feather made his presence felt from the start, unlucky not to score in the opening minutes.
With the ball flowing between both halves, both teams battled hard to get the ball through.
It was the Eagles who scored first as Tarling took it down the ground from the back line before passing it to Feather who floated the ball over the keeper's head into the back of the net.
The midfield line of Rhys McVittie, Andy Somerville and Tom Trch worked with Matt Block and Alex Howden on the wings keeping the ball forward and Feather scored the second goal 33 minutes in.
